Livelywood

Dear all, today I want to write about a very talented person, a furniture designer based in Pune. She designs and paints beautiful furniture pieces and one can get them custom made for their space.
Though she makes all kinds of furniture pieces, I just have to show some clocks she made using just a piece of wood and some commonly found accessories which have come together with the designer's ceativity to become highly original, one-of-a-kind clocks........
This one here is perfect for a girl's fairy tale room, all pinky and flowery, and even has the princess's carelessly discarded slipper on it...

Sun and sky are the theme for this blue and yellow piece...clear blue skies and bright yellow sunflowers are the stuff dreams are made of....

This next one's a quirky clock made of stainless steel tool parts...

And here's a really cool piece.....its got ghungroos and sequins stuck all round the face for numbers...

" The Foot Of The Lord"  clock......

Inspired by the saree, this time keeper has the adornments usually found on sarees..
It would work really well in a traditional setting..    ( I'm thinking of toran on the doorway, brass lamps hanging in a corner, moodas/cane chairs with bright upholstery and cushions, rajasthani strings of birds, ....and of course this clock..)

Geometrical patterns and beads on this one...

Hope you enjoyed them...All these are these are the works of Ms Sonia Sumant, who blogs at lively-wood. You can see more of her brilliant work there.
